Самолеты А-4 Skyhawk использовались ВВС Аргентины во время фолклендского конфликта 1982 года. Многие модели закупались у ВМФ США после списания. В конце 1960-х годов Аргентина приобрела 66 машин А-4В, которые были переоборудованы и получили обозначения А-4Р и A-4Q Skyhawk. А-4В - усовершенствованная модификация, способная нести противокорабельные ракеты AGM-12 Bullpup. Во время фолклендского конфликта эти самолеты широко использовались против английских кораблей и, несмотря на тяжелые потери от атак многоцелевых истребителей с вертикальным взлетом Harrier (по английским данным была потеряна 31 такая машина), нанесли значительный ущерб британскому флоту при Сан-Карлосе.
