 Разработчик: Agusta Страна: Италия Первый полет: 1965 Тип: Противолодочный вертолет Итальянская авиастроительнаякомпания Agusta была создана в 1907 году, к выпуску вертолетов приступила в 1952г., когда была получена лицензия на выпуск модели Bell 47 и другие лицензионные соглашения с компаниями Bell и Sikorsky. Затем Агуста разработала ряд своих собственных проектов. Экспериментальный образец самого маленького из когда-либо использовавшихся вертолета Agusta А.106 поднялся в воздух в ноябре 1965г. В начале 70-х гг. была выпущена небольшая партия этих машин. Примерно 5 из них были использованы Военно-морским флотом Италии в качестве противолодочных наряду с военно-морскими вертолетами класса ASN SH-3D, AB204AS и AB212ASW, базирующимися на кораблях класса "Импавидо". A 106 имел двухлопастный несущий и традиционный хвостовой винты. Кроме того - поплавковое шасси, с возможностью замены на полозья лыжного шасси со съемными колесами для маневрирования по земле. В условиях плохой видимости управление вертолетом осуществлялось при помощи разнообразных приборов и бортовой электроники. Компания Ferranti специально для модели A 106 разработала электронную трехосную систему повышения устойчивости, обеспечивающую стабильное положение вертолета и гашение колебаний, вызванных внешними возмущениями.
